A strategic executive with over 30 years experience in Defence and key appointments in NATO. An experienced and decorated senior leader on both military operations (Afghanistan, Iraq, Bosnia and Northern Ireland) and in delivering multi-billion pound business change, with proven strategic planning, programme management, financial planning and commercial skills allied to an extensive track record of delivering results across multiple sectors including HR, infrastructure, digital, engineering and logistics.

Key posts include first Chief Defence Logistics and Support responsible for developing and implementing a cross-cutting, pan-Defence strategy for Support, a £14-billion/annum enterprise  covering every facet of logistics, engineering and equipment support.

Alongside this Richard has served as Assistant Director Manning, Director Plans (Army), Chief of Staff Allied Rapid Reaction Corps, and Director Army Basing and Infrastructure.
