Harish is the Founder and CEO of atmaana. He has drawn upon his wide range of experience in the automotive and defence sectors to establish the business, attracting experienced senior executives from both the public and private sectors to support atmaana’s blue chip clients.

atmaana’s early successes included assisting the UK MOD with a Culture Change programme, implementation of major IT programmes and supporting MAN Trucks' successful bid to win a £1.6bn contract for the acquisition of MOD support vehicles.

Since 2009, Harish has overseen the business experience major growth, establishing the company as a provider of 'big brain, grey beards' to both existing and new clients. Combining his experience and extensive network, he is able to provide high-end consultancy, focusing on business strategy and assurance for prominent clients working in the defence, emergency services and security sectors.

Harish began his career in the automotive industry. He gained over 14 years’ experience, having worked with the likes of Rover Group, Land Rover and BMW, between 1980 and 1994.

This also included a 2-year secondment to the former Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), where he was the Automotive Industry Advisor to the then President of the Board of Trade, Michael Heseltine, and the Civil Service. Harish lead the programme for improving the UK automotive supplier base and was also responsible for all commercial vehicle sector matters.

Key achievements included leading the DTI's involvement with the successful rescue of Leyland DAF businesses after they went into receivership and also establishing the Automotive Industry Forum in the UK, as part of the 'Learning from Japan' programme.

In 1994, Harish moved to Andersen Consulting, where he was Director for the Automotive Sector and led the growth of the business in the automotive industry. He later joined Arthur Andersen as Business Development Director in the firm's Corporate Finance Practice, before moving on to KPMG in 1998 to lead their growth into the automotive sector.

In November 1999, Harish established Anisa Consulting as a joint venture with the Anisa Group, backed by 3i, before leading a management buy out and establishing atmaana Ltd.
