Middle East Projects
A major prime in the Middle East required support to improve emergency responses at sports stadia.
Challenge: atmaana were requested by a major prime to supply subject matter expertise on Counter Terrorism and Command and Control for joint emergency responses at sports stadia in the Middle East.
Solution: atmaana became an integral part of the programme to revamp several ‘tired’ stadia. atmaana worked closely with the customer to enable the prime to specify and justify appropriate new technologies in order to mitigate the specific risks faced in the region.
Result: atmaana supported the customer to advise their client on training methods and create a real shift from policing to a combination of stewarding and the use of new technologies in the stadia. This enabled the release of police officers back to core functions and reducing costs to the end user, making the whole project more viable and delivering real value.
Additional support: Following on from this project, atmaana worked with the customer to introduce them to major stadia in the UK. As a result the customer was provided with the knowledge to enable to enter into new markets and explore new sales opportunities.
Following this, atmaana was recalled to assist on a secret project looking at National Command and Control systems in the Middle East. atmaana’s ability to appreciate the current operating picture meant the scoping team were provided with a credible ‘operational’ face. atmaana’s input was key in developing the relationship with ‘end user’ police officers at all ranks and the Ministry of the Interior. As a result the team was able to glean excellent benchmarking data in order to progress the project.
